Audio
Keep every track and channel, make a compatible stereo mix, or export without audio.
Choose the audio mode in the Audio section of the Inspector or in Export. The Source and Output rows show the layout before and after export.
Audio modes
- Same as source: every track with its channels. ProRes stores uncompressed PCM. H.264, HEVC and MV-HEVC use AAC up to 5.1; 7.1 is folded to 5.1.
- Compatible stereo: one stereo track that every player can read.
- No audio: video only.
Spatial audio
Ambisonic tracks keep their channel order and the spatial audio metadata (SA3D) read by YouTube and VR players. First-order ambisonics also fits in AAC; higher orders need ProRes.
Audio stays in sync with the video, including clips with silent sections and files whose audio starts later.
